When you hunt a human, says Rob Dick, the most important thing is that you quickly forget him after the hunt. You can hunt him for weeks, for months, you can know what he prefers to eat and where he spent his summer vacation last year. But if you have it, if you knock on the right door, or catch it in its car, if you wrestle it down and handcuff it, take it to prison, and bag your reward, then you have to forget it. Usually, says Dick, he usually does it well, he’s a professional. You could ask him who he was hunting last week, he could hardly remember it. But there is this one case, says Dick, and seesaws in his desk chair that it was soon over two decades ago that this case grabbed him, carried him away and devoured him. And sometimes he wonders if he’ll ever spit it out… Many thanks for Photo Editor Angelika Hala and Designer Andrew Kronawitt for this challenging and fascinating assignment.[-]
